The lower split rotary support of the circular stacker reclaimer designed and manufactured for a power plant in Shanxi

On April 1, 2022, our company completed the acceptance inspection of the lower split rotary support of the circular stacker reclaimer designed and manufactured for a power plant in Shanxi. The bearing model is 010.70.3150.03D, with an outer diameter of 3376mm and a weight of 2880kg. It is a toothless single row four point contact ball type turntable bearing. This circular stacker reclaimer is an equipment produced by Huadian Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. in 2016. The equipment has three sets of rotary bearings located in the upper, middle, and lower parts of the equipment, so the three sets of rotary bearings are called upper bearings, middle bearings, and lower bearings.

The lower bearing is located at the bottom of the equipment, which requires a large amount of work, a long replacement cycle, and high replacement costs. In order to shorten the replacement cycle, reduce work and replacement costs, our company suggests replacing the lower bearing with a split type rotary bearing, completely solving the problem of difficult replacement of the overall rotary bearing. After multiple communications with the customer’s equipment technology department, the final technical solution for the bearing was determined.

When designing the split bearing scheme, our company comprehensively considered the customer’s operating conditions and combined our previous processing experience in split bearings. We have made improvements and optimizations in multiple aspects such as split form, thermal shaping after sleeve opening, joint treatment at split connection, split connection reinforcement scheme, split bearing packaging and shipping, and fixed fixtures related to split bearing installation. Especially based on the stress situation of the circular stacker reclaimer equipment and considering the safety of the installation process, our company has designed and produced fixed fixtures for the installation of split bearings for the first time, avoiding the possibility of instantaneous cutting of connecting bolts at the split parts during the installation process, ensuring the safety and reliability of the split bearing installation process. Our company is currently applying for a patent for the fixed fixtures related to split bearing installation.
